hi y'all,
i'm trying to shoot a series of images involving thick clear liquid. it should be thick enough to be able to suspend balls of sculpey and it must be non-toxic (preferably delicious).
i was thinking of using hair gel or making a very thick sugar syrup, but that might not be thick enough.
i know food stylists use stuff like this, but i don't personally know any.
any advice?
will also need models. more info to come.
thanks,
dave

Janet Cardiff & Binaural Sound Recordings
Re: some of our discussion about mannequins and recorded audio.
Here's a link to a list of Janet Cardiff's "Walks." She records these walks by holding a special device -- a mannequin head with microphones placed in each of its ears, each of which is recording a different channel. If you click on any of the links and then listen to the samples with headphones you'll get a sense of how eerie the stereophonic effect is.
I also like the image of her making the recordings, marching through busy streets with some uncouth, disembodied puppet head, whispering furtively into its electronic ears.
